Isaac & ER

For the past two days, we spent more than 16 hours in Children hospital ER. It is because little Isaac was really sick. Isaac got a cold from Flora or grandma. He was coughing for couple days and none of the cough medicine worked on him. And he became very sick on Friday morning. He vomited eight times and coughing non stop. Flora and I decided to bring him to ER.

Because of his history with ER, Isaac was admitted to the ER room right away. They started to give him steroid and Ventolin for intake. His condition was getting better after 6 hours stay in hospital. So he was discharged back home. Once we arrived home that night, he was coughing again; however,we thought that his condition might improve in the next morning. We tried to hold him up and let him sleep.

During my company picnic on Saturday morning, we noticed that his coughing was getting more frequent and he had a hard time to breath. Without any choice, we had to bring him back to ER one more time. Once we arrived the ER, the nurse gave him the steroid (which relaxes his airways) and Ventolin (which relaxes the muscles around the airway) immediately. After the first treatment (2 hours later), his condition was not improved much, they decided to give him another dosage.

However, the second one also did not improve his condition. Then the doctor had to give him the third one and see whether it would improve the oxygen level in his blood stream. If not, he had to stay until his airway condition was better.

After spending more than 9 hours in ER, we could finally go home @ 11:30 pm. Four of us were so tired. Eunice and Isaac missed their home so much.

Thanks God that Isaac's condition has been improved a lot which allowed us to spend some times at PNE this afternoon. However, he is going to miss 2 of his swimming lessons next week... Poor him! He does not like it at all.

Change

As followers of Jesus, we are called continually to change how we think. The Christian’s life has an ongoing aspect of change. Walking as a disciple of Jesus means constantly growing and changing inwardly as you take on more of the character of the Teacher. (quote from A Passionate Life)

Are we ready to be changed or are we willing....

Two new books...

Nowadays, it seems to me that a lot of people have lost their appetite to read book. They turn their attention to TV, Internet and etc. However, I still love to sit down quietly and read.

I just bought two books from a Christian outlet in Seattle.

"The beloved Disciple" by Beth Moore ( John the apostle must have thought he had seen everything. Having been with Jesus all the years of his ministry.... Just as Christ took John on a lifelong journey into depths of His love. He will do the same for you. The bridegroom's' love is unmatched and inexhaustible, and He is waiting to lavish it on you, He beloved. You will not be the same )

and "A Passionate Life" by Mike Breen and Walt Kallestad (Countless people today are disppointed with the way their lives are going. Although they truly believe they were created for a Divine purpose, deep in their hearts, they wonder What's so great about knowing God?....May be you go to church every week, only to go away empty and thinking There's got to be more )

When Christ-"ian" is not a Christian

Christ-"ian" literally means Christ follower but if Christian...
Do not spend time with Jesus daily;
Do not worship Jesus;
Do not pray;
Do not love one another as Jesus told us to do;
Do not put Jesus in the center of their lives;
Do not know what they believe;
Do not follow His great commandment;
Do not ...

Do they still claim themselves as a Christian??
