Painful...Experience!

For the past few days , I was bored at work and nothing special things happened. So I had a such dumb thought..." wish for some excited things happen".

Unbelievable my wish was granted today. When I was working in the lab this morning, my right index finger was cut badly by a broken glass rod. I tried to push a glass rod through a holed rubber stopper. But the glass rod got stuck and could not move back and forth. So I used a bit more force... then the glass rod broke into pieces and my finger was cut wide open. The blood was coming out rapidly.

After a brief first aid treatment from my workplace, they drove me to the hospital emergency room to get stitches. During the two hours waiting period, the blood kept on coming out since the cut was very wide and the nurse kept on asking me to put the pressure on the wound by using my left hand.

When bearing the pain and the blood soaked through the gauze, I felt for my Savior who died on the cross for us. My little cut could not even compare with what He had gone through on the cross.

Finally, the doctor showed up and tried to sew the wound together. The painful part was... when he injected the " freeze" around the cut. It took six stitches to close the wound. After wrapping up with more gauze and getting a shot, I was free to go back to work for couple more hours.

So next time, you should be careful what you are hoping for....

Miracle...or Perseverance ?

Couple months ago I decided to cut off some leaves from my African violet plant and see whether the leaf will grow into another new plant if I put it into a new pot of soil.

After the winter, there was still no "growing" sign at all. Flora said that it might be died already. Disappointed but I did not give up and keep on watering the plant.

Few days ago, I had a surprise. A few small green leaves start to dig their way out of the soil and want to show me that my perseverance is paid off.

I learn a precious lesson from this little leaf. Never give up easily, we should keep on pursuing what we believe and dream about. One day you may be surprised.

My Friend 2

Hi my friend! It is me again... Life is challenging everyday. Sometimes it makes me feel tired and helpless. Plus uncertainty is not a good friend of mine either who always makes me feel worry. It seems to me I have to go back where I have met him and ask for his wisdom again. I am longing to listen his soft voice which can comfort me and give me strength.

By the way, how are you doing? Still have not heard from you.

My Friend

We have not connected to each other since you left here five years ago. I always wonder how are you doing in the other side of the world?

I really miss the time that we spent together. It is hard to find someone like you who can share our daily struggles and visions. It seems to me that everybody so satisfy their lives and do not want to take up any new challenges. People stop believing that they can make the world different if they want to. You cannot see the fire in their eyes any more. Most of the time they just want to stay in their routine. Be honest, I do not understand what has happened to them and I have become confused too... May be I should live like one of them or may be there is something wrong with my head (think too much).

If I recall it correctly, we are called to make changes and take up the yokes that we are asked for. And also be the light of this world. However, why... it seems to me that we are dimming. Because of our laziness or we are too comfortable and satisfy our current stages.

Although someone thought that we were crazy in the past, we were pursuing and running towards our dreams and visions and which I never forget and regret.

A wisdom prayer

Proverbs 30

7 "Two things I ask of you, O LORD;
do not refuse me before I die:

8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.

9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, 'Who is the LORD ?'
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.

Plants grow at the back yard this year

Again, we are trying to take the easy ones this year. Tomato, Zucchini and some Gooseberry. However, we not sure whether growing gooseberry will be successful or not because this is the first time we try it.
