Learning to wait

In our fast-paced culture, we are not a patient people anymore. We tend to be in a horn honking, microwaving, FedEx mailing, fast food eating, express lane shopping hurry. We do not like to wait in traffic, on the phone, in the store, in the post office or in the bank. We would like to get things done quickly. We would like to solve our problems urgently. We would like to get our answers desperately.

Although waiting is hard, I believe the outcome should be rewarding. So are you ready for another fishing trip today?

Waiting is the hardest work of hope ~ Lewis Smedes
