Today was the first day in Lakefield. I left Toronto @ 5:30 this morning and wished for the smooth drive to Lakefield. It was raining heavily this morning and the sky was still dark. I had all the direction from my brother in law last night and it should work out as I thought. But I was lost .... I missed one major highway 401 exit. So instead of going East, I was going to South West direction. At the beginning, I did not realize that I was on the wrong direction. However, the gut feeling told me that I better gave Lawrence a call.. Then I was right, I was in the wrong direction and had to go all the way back. The rain was pouring, the wind was blowing and it was hard to see the road on the highway. Especially, there was a big truck in front of you. My car wiper was already turned to maximum. After battling 2 and half hours drive, I was safely arrived SGS Lakefield. (Thank you God)
SGS Lakefield is a huge operation with lots of people, most of them are living in closed by city ,Peterborough. I spent entire day to see some of the tests that I have to learn and will bring them back to Vancouver lab. I am not sure how much I can accomplish from this trip but my manager has already expected me a lot and I should be able to duplicate everything in Vancouver and make profit right away... What a pressure PRESSURE!
